We all know the amazing results a well-fitted pair of hearing aids can bring.
They don’t just let us witness the world in amazing clarity, but they also offer a vital means to connect with friends and family members.
That being said, the pandemic hasn’t been the easiest time for hearing aid wearers.
Many are spending longer periods at home, meaning their hearing needs and requirements have changed over the past few months.
The good news is there’s a device that can improve your daily experience, especially if you’ve been catching up on all the best Netflix series – a TV streamer!
What is a TV streamer?
TV streamers fit into the back of your home entertainment system and send the audio output straight to your hearing aids.
With the touch of a button, you can control just how much you want to hear at any given time.
TV streamers have become in-demand among many of our patients, providing them with impressive sound quality while they watch the latest blockbuster.
They’re also a great way to enhance your family time – as others can listen through the main speakers in tandem.
All the major manufacturers produce their own TV streamers.
If you want to boost your movie night experience, contact the team at (850) 474-8328, and they’ll happily give you an introduction to the suitable models!
Updates from the Office
Our primary audiologist at our new Gulf Breeze location, Margaret Richards, is now heading its day-to-day operations.
She’s in the process of relocating to Pensacola, so she can immerse herself in the amazing community that she is serving every day.
The office team doesn’t just think of her as an expert audiologist but also as someone with skills in packing, moving, and unpacking!
In addition, we’ve loved seeing more of you use the Bluetooth function on your hearing aids to stream calls during the pandemic.
As we can only give out “air hugs,” not “bear hugs,” this is such an awesome feature. Call us at (850) 474-8328 if you want to get the best out of this technology.
Our telehealth service, available for new and existing patients, is also getting great reviews from our patients.
It works particularly well with devices that have “remote programming” capabilities, which lets your audiologist alter your hearing aids without touching them.
If you want to take advantage of this, ask us about an upgrade. We’d be happy to help you with your inquiries!
Why Air Pods Are Challenging Assumptions
In early July, Apple – the world’s largest technology company – quietly put out an update for their iOS 14 operating system.
This amplified soft sounds and made music, movies, phone calls, and podcasts sound crisper and clearer – transforming air pods into rudimentary hearing aids.
In truth, air pods will never replace the advanced devices, fittings, and servicing that our team provides to patients.
But they can give many a glimpse into amplification technologies and break down the stigma that young people often feel about receiving treatment.
If you know someone who has recently experienced these benefits, let them know that the team can offer them smart, discreet devices with life-changing results.
