COVID-19 Precautions & Safety Protocols

01/27/2022 | Patient Resources | 0 comments

Due to the continuing development of COVID-19 and its following variants, we are following strict CDC guidelines for all in-person appointments.

To stay up to date with the latest CDC government guidelines in your county, please use the CDC tool below.

Our safety procedures and protocols are listed below.

An MCC clinical staff member takes the temperature of every person who comes into the clinic. In addition, The Hearing Center and Medical Center Clinic are taking extra precautions in the fight against COVID-19.

Every person who comes into the clinic, whether an employee, patient, or caregiver with a patient, is being screened at the door.

You will have your temperature read and recorded, and you will also be asked brief questions to ensure that you or someone close to you has not been possibly exposed to the virus.

Please keep this in mind as you prepare to come into the clinic, allowing extra time for yourself to get to your appointment.

All MCC employees are also wearing masks for their protection and yours. Because we work with so many hard-of-hearing patients, we have even taken measures to ensure that our patients can continue to use physical cues such as lip reading in addition to their hearing devices.

We are grateful to Pensacola Mask Sewers for providing us masks that will help us still effectively communicate with our patients without hindrance.

Our staff and providers thoroughly clean patient rooms after each patient leaves, wipe all surfaces and sanitize all equipment within our practice.

We also wear gloves before touching any patient or their hearing devices to maintain cleanliness.

Medical Center Clinic provides daily updates to us about the virus and how we can keep our patients, our staff, and our family members healthy amidst this pandemic.

We want to assure our patients that we are here for you and your hearing health needs.

Though we have limited hours and suspended walk-in times, your care is our priority, and we are even available for same-day appointments to repair, program, or help with your hearing devices.

Please call our office at 850.474.8328 to make arrangements for immediate service.

We look forward to continuing to help you and your families. We are glad to be a part of a team and clinic that promotes the well-being of everyone during this pandemic.

Thank you for allowing us to serve you.
