2019 was a wonderful year! It not only allowed our practice to grow but it also allowed us the opportunity to give back to the community.
Practice Coordinator Mehgan Cash regularly volunteers at the shelter. Not only do we donate to local organizations focused on hearing health, but we also give back to other causes near and dear to our hearts. We have many animal lovers in our practice, so we helped sponsor both Barktoberfest and Paws on Palafox with Pensacola Humane Society, contributing to their spay and neuter clinic and helping animals in need. In addition to sponsoring events with Pensacola Humane Society, we’ve also freely donated to them in memory of some of our patients. This year, we also once again sponsored the Cokesbury Golf Tournament and Liberty Sertoma mini-golf tournament, both of which benefit local Sertoma organizations, allowing more donations of hearing and speech benefits for those in need.
This is all in addition to our Promise Garden Sponsorship for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s back in November. It was such a beautiful event. Lastly, we were able to fit 16 patients this year with hearing aids through the Speech and Hearing Board. This is a charitable organization that provides hearing aids and speech therapy to patients who may not be otherwise able to afford it. We have proudly worked with the Speech and Hearing Board for over 10 years now! In total for 2019, we contributed over $12,000 to the local nonprofit community. In 2020, with the opening of our Gulf Breeze location, we hope to be able to contribute even more. This year has been good to us, and we want to continue to be the best we can be, not just in hearing health care, but personally too.

My hearing loss started when I was just 10 years old as a result of multiple ear infections.
